The Memphis Grizzlies will host its first annual Girl's Summit in partnership with the National Civil Rights Museum and the Women’s Foundation of Greater Memphis. A celebration of the 45th Anniversary of Title IX, this two-day event is designed to introduce girls and young women to the many college and career opportunities available through competitive and non-traditional sports.
DAY 1 - March 30th
Middle School Participants 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
High School Participants 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Approximately 300 middle and high school student-athletes from select schools across Shelby County will participate in:
Let’s Play: An Introduction to Competitive and Non-Traditional Sports - a hands on demonstration of six different sports including Basketball, Lacrosse, Rugby, Soccer, Track and Field, and Volleyball.
Let’s Talk: Sports as a Path to College and Career - breakout sessions offered to high school students, only, giving them a chance to interact with sports professionals about what it takes to compete at the highest level of the industry, both on and off the court.

DAY 2 - March 31st
On day two, the National Civil Rights Museum will convene 350 women and high school participants for an invite-only reception and panel discussion, The Fight for Gender Equality: Yesterday and Today. The celebration will continue with a special halftime performance in recognition of Title IX at the Memphis Grizzlies vs Dallas Mavericks game.
