Elements of Effective Practice One: Recruitment is a three hour training that provides participants with the basic principles for marketing a mentoring program and recruiting volunteers to mentor youth.
Recruitment focuses on recruiting appropiate mentors and mentees, by realistically describing the program's objectives and expected outcomes. Recruitment strategies aims to build positive attitudes and emotions about mentoring, and target mentors and mentees whose skills, backgrounds, and needs best match the goals and structure of the program.
New mentor training prepares mentors with the needed tools and skills to mentor and work with the youth within our youth mentoring network. This training is open to anyone interested in becoming a volunteer youth mentor.
